Preschool Learning Center
The Ark Learning Center will provide a curriculum that is Devoted to:
* Developing warm and nurturing relationships with children
* Teaching using adult-led and child-led learning experiences
* Using natural, stimulating and progressive play materials
* Encouraging children to take on new challenges
* Evaluating the teaching and learning on a regular basis
* Using open-ended questions to promote creative and critical thinking and imaginative skills
* Modeling conflict resolution strategies and social and emotional regulation
* Listening to, observing and documenting the learning journey.
Additional Details
The Ark Learning Center's operational hours will be Monday through Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm.
T.A.L.C. Registration Fee is a one time fee of $25.00, which will hold your spot for 1 week while you make arrangements to begin school. Once the registration fee is paid you will receive all of the other paperwork that is needed for your child to attend school.
3 to 5 Year Olds are $165.00 per week.

T.A.L.C. Daycare fees are due on Fridays before the week your child attends childcare.
A $25 late fee will be added to anyone that has not paid by Friday afternoon.
If payment becomes 3 days late then services will be terminated until the fees have been paid.
Fees are payable weekly, biweekly, or monthly if they are in advance.
If paying by the month, please keep in mind that some months have 5 weeks. Monthly
payments are due the first Friday (of a full week) of the month (same late fee applies as above). We accept
cash, check, or money orders. However, after two NSF checks only cash or money orders will be accepted.
There will be a $20.00 NSF charge for each returned check. Fees may increase yearly to keep pace with the
economy and to give our teachers a much needed raise.
Vacation Time - Each child that has been enrolled for a year is allowed 5 days of vacation time and can be taken by the day or the full week. However, to receive the vacation days credited to your account you will need to let the director know BEFORE you plan on taking the vacation days. Vacation days start over on the child's enrollment date and do not rollover from year to year.
Late Fees - we close promptly at 5:00pm. There is a $5.00 fee per minute a child remains at school. For those who receive DSS assistance you also receive a time schedule of when your child is allowed to attend school. If you bring your child early or pick up your child late from your allotted time you will be charged a $5.00 a minute fee as well. We must keep our staff/child ratios. The staff schedules are created to correlate with the DSS time schedules so we can stay in ratio.
Parents must pay the late fee before children are allowed to come back to school.

Preschool -3 yrs. (fully potty-trained) - Rising Kindergarten
June 17th - August 16th
Weekly Rates
• Weekly Full-Day (7:00 am – 5:00 pm): $150/wk
Supply/Activity Fee
• $75/child before June 5th This fee covers the cost of, crafts, special snacks, in-house field trips, and technology.
Lunch/Snacks
• Lunch and Snack is included with the tuition cost (additional information for lunch will be given by May15th)
Multi-Child Discount
• Families with children in both Preschool and Grade School Camp will receive a discount of 5% of their total Tuition Cost
Reduced Tuition Rate
• All students that have been approved for Subsidized Tuition through the NC Department of Health and Human Services will qualify for the Reduced Tuition Rate. Details on the reduced tuition is available at the accountants office located on campus.
Billing & Payments
• Your tuition is due on the first day of the week that your child attends. You will be charged a late fee if not paid each week.
Late & NSF Fees

A late fee of $25 will be charged for late payments and your child/ren will not be able to return until your account has been made current.

We are happy to work with each family as long as an agreement on a special payment plan has been established and is being carried out.

An NSF fee of $30 will be applied to your account for any payments that are returned.
Important Notices

No part of the Summer Supply/Activity Fee is refundable

There are no financial adjustments made for holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day) or child’s absences.

Trips
Trips will continue to be evaluated in response to the ever- changing COVID-19 situation. Trips will only be taken if it is safe and beneficial for the kids and staff.
Activities/Sporting Events
Activities may include hiking, bowling, skating, picnics, etc.
Growing in God’s Word
TALC summer camp participants will enjoy weekly age- graded faith activities including daily chapel, singing, and personal application.
